SOURCEFIRE NAMED 2009 “HOT COMPANIES” AWARD FINALIST

Open source innovator and SNORT® creator, Sourcefire, Inc. (Nasdaq:FIRE), a leader in Enterprise Threat Management, today announced that it was named a finalist for Network Products Guide’s 2009 Hot Companies award. The organizations recognized by the Hot Companies award represent all areas of information technology including security, wireless, storage, networking, software and communications. The 2009 Hot Companies winners will be announced at the 2009 World Executive Alliance Summit in San Francisco on March 26-27, 2009.

In addition, companies should have products and solutions that are positioned to take advantage of emerging market opportunities, a well developed revenue-growth model and clearly planned expansion strategies.
