NGD EUROPE SETS THE STANDARD FOR SECURITY AND ENVIRONMENT
Newport, Wales, July 27th 2010: Adding to its ISO standards collection, NGD Europe, one of the world’s largest data centres, has achieved ISO 27001 certification in recognition of its full compliance to ISO’s information security management procedures.
In addition to its secure usage and management of data, the 750,000 sq ft mega data centre features comprehensive physical security including double and triple skinned walls; bomb proof glass; prison grade perimeter fencing; anti-ram bollards; infra-red detection; CCTV; and ex-army security guards.
Commented Nick Razey, CEO of Next Generation Data: “We take data and physical security extremely seriously and will continually strive to make our facility one of the safest and securest data centres in the world.”
With its industry-leading Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) rating, state-of-the-art power management and cooling technology and 100 per cent commitment to renewable energy, NGD Europe achieved the ISO 14001 environmental management standard earlier this year. The ISO 9001 quality management standard has also been awarded.
