The Training Camp launches UK’s first accelerated Microsoft SQL Server 2005 course...

Accelerated learning expert The Training Camp has sprinted ahead of the competition by bringing out the first accelerated training course for Microsoft SQL Server 2005. The course covers all aspects of development, database administration and server architecture and benefits include only having to spend three days out of the office.

The course from the Training Camp – named winner of IT Training Company of the Year 2006 (IITT) - has already attracted more attention than any other it has launched. The accelerated version takes five days for the candidate to become qualified compared to other courses on the market that take 28 days to cover all areas. The Training Camp has even improved on its previous performance, as its Microsoft SQL Server 2000 version of the course takes seven days.

“The decision to shorten the course is down to improved accelerated learning techniques, gained through years of research and experience,” said Robert Chapman, co-founder of The Training Camp “With IT professionals’ value steadily increasing, companies simply cannot afford for them to be out of the office for a month. E-learning is an alternative, but, as it happens so often in the IT space, by the time the qualification is gained it will be out of date.”

According to Microsoft Certified Professional Magazine’s 2004 Salary Survey, the average SQL server DBA earned a base salary of £38,660. Unlike courses from other providers, The Training Camp’s is residential (with accommodation and meals provided), promoting complete immersion in all aspects of the Microsoft SQL Server architecture.

Robert Chapman added: “The IT jobs market is a battleground. To succeed, contenders need to stay one step of the game, by acting fast and retraining in new technologies before they are taken up across the board. If their knowledge can raise their company’s productivity above the competition, fast career development is inevitable.”

The Training Camp has a history of success. Its courses often sell out as soon as they are available and have an average pass rate of 85 per cent, surpassing the industry average. It has trained over 5,000 people, including employees from BT, Orange and Cap Gemini.
